Your Role
As an Artificial Intelligence Compliance Specialist within #TeamRWE, you will take charge of the creation, enhancement, and execution of the governance framework concerning the Group's policy on Artificial Intelligence, alongside relevant legal structures in RWE's primary markets. Your responsibilities will include formulating guidelines, policies, and processes across Group-wide initiatives while ensuring adherence to legal and ethical standards through your expert advice on AI-related projects. You will report directly to the Chief Data Protection & AI Governance Officer.

  • Developing and refining a comprehensive management framework for artificial intelligence aligned with the Group AI policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Advancing the Group Policy for Artificial Intelligence and potentially other Group-wide protocols and standards in this domain.
  • Creating and executing training and awareness initiatives related to artificial intelligence in collaboration with various departments, particularly HR and Transformation.
  • Performing risk evaluations for AI systems and models, deriving actionable measures for risk mitigation in partnership with business leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Tracking and reporting on the evolving regulatory landscape governing artificial intelligence in RWE's key markets, especially the EU, UK, and US; engaging with authorities and regulatory entities as necessary.

Your Qualifications

  • A university degree in IT, engineering, or law with a technical emphasis, or a comparable qualification or further training.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in technical regulation or data governance, such as data protection or product liability.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and enhancing management systems within a corporate context.
  • Proven track record in overseeing legal implementation projects in a corporate setting.
  • Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders in an international organization, particularly with employee representatives and management.
  • Experience in liaising and collaborating with regulatory bodies and supervisory authorities.
  • Strong customer focus and interdisciplinary capabilities, with a pragmatic and efficient approach to task execution.
  • Fluency in both German and English, with the ability to collaborate with globally distributed teams and guide them through change processes.

Additional Skills (Preferred)

  • Proficiency in another European language.
