Your Role Overview
As an Artificial Intelligence Compliance Specialist at RWE, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the governance framework for Artificial Intelligence within the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and implement a comprehensive management system that aligns with the Group's AI policy and relevant legal standards across RWE's operational markets. You will be instrumental in crafting guidelines, policies, and processes for Group-wide initiatives, ensuring adherence to ethical and legal standards in AI projects. This position will report directly to the Chief Data Protection & AI Governance Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance a Group-wide management framework for AI, ensuring compliance with the Group's AI policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Refine the Group Policy for Artificial Intelligence and establish necessary processes and standards across the organization.
  • Design and implement training programs to raise awareness about AI governance in collaboration with HR and Transformation teams.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments for AI systems and models, collaborating with business leaders and stakeholders to formulate risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and report on the evolving regulatory landscape for AI in key markets, particularly the EU, UK, and US, and engage with regulatory authorities as needed.

Your Qualifications

  • A degree in IT, engineering, or law with a technical emphasis, or equivalent qualifications.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical or data regulation, including data protection or product liability.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and enhancing management systems within a corporate setting.
  • Proven track record in managing legal compliance projects in a corporate environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders in an international context, including employee representatives and management.
  • Experience in liaising with regulatory bodies and supervisory authorities.
  • Strong customer focus and interdisciplinary skills, with a pragmatic approach to task execution.
  • Fluency in both German and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in an additional European language.
