Your Future Responsibilities
As an Artificial Intelligence Compliance Specialist at RWE, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the governance framework for Artificial Intelligence across the organization. Your primary focus will be on the creation, enhancement, and enforcement of policies that align with both internal standards and external legal requirements within RWE's operational regions. You will provide strategic guidance on AI initiatives, ensuring adherence to ethical and legal standards.

  • Developing and refining a comprehensive governance framework for AI that aligns with the Group's AI policy and applicable regulations.
  • Enhancing the Group's AI policy and related processes to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Creating and delivering training programs on AI governance in collaboration with various departments, particularly Human Resources and Transformation.
  • Conducting thorough risk assessments for AI technologies and proposing risk mitigation strategies in partnership with business leaders and stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and analyzing regulatory trends affecting AI in key markets, particularly within the EU, UK, and US, and liaising with relevant authorities as necessary.

Your Essential Qualifications

  • A degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or Law with a technical emphasis, or equivalent qualifications.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical or data regulation, including data protection and product liability.
  • Demonstrated expertise in establishing and advancing governance frameworks within a corporate setting.
  • Proven track record in managing legal compliance projects in a corporate environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders across an international organization.
  • Experience in collaborating with regulatory agencies and oversight bodies.
  • Strong customer focus and interdisciplinary capabilities, with a pragmatic approach to task execution.
  • Fluency in both German and English, with the ability to work effectively in globally distributed teams and facilitate change processes.

Desirable Skills

  • Proficiency in an additional European language.
