Your Future Responsibilities
As an AI Governance Specialist within #TeamRWE, you will play a pivotal role in shaping, developing, and executing the management framework for the Group's policy on Artificial Intelligence, alongside the legal standards in RWE's primary markets. Your expertise will be crucial in formulating guidelines, policies, and processes for Group-wide initiatives, ensuring adherence to legal and ethical standards through your counsel in AI projects. You will report directly to the Chief Data Protection & AI Governance Officer.

  • Establishing and enhancing a comprehensive management framework for artificial intelligence in alignment with the Group AI policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Advancing the Group Policy for Artificial Intelligence and, when necessary, other Group-wide processes and standards in this domain.
  • Designing and executing training and awareness initiatives regarding artificial intelligence in collaboration with various departments, particularly HR and Transformation.
  • Conducting risk evaluations for AI systems and models, deriving risk mitigation strategies in partnership with business leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the evolving regulatory landscape concerning artificial intelligence in RWE's key markets, particularly the EU, UK, and US; engaging with authorities and regulatory bodies as needed.

Your Essential Qualifications

  • A university degree in IT, engineering, or law with a technical emphasis, or a comparable qualification/advanced training.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in technical regulation or data governance, such as data protection or product liability.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and developing management systems within a corporate setting.
  • Proven track record in managing legal implementation projects in a corporate environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders in an international organization, particularly with employee representatives and management.
  • Experience in liaising and collaborating with regulatory bodies and supervisory authorities.
  • Strong customer focus and interdisciplinary skills, with a pragmatic and efficient approach to task execution.
  • Fluency in both German and English, with the ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams and guide them through change processes.

Desirable Skills

  • Proficiency in an additional European language.
