Supply Chain Automation and Digital Solutions Intern

About the Role
The Customer Excellence and Digital Solutions team within the Supply Chain & Logistics Center of Excellence at Covestro is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to support the development of projects that contribute to the realization of the End-to-End Supply Chain Digital Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct data analysis on material and information flows in the supply chain, supervised by the project manager on the lead.
- Implement automated solutions for efficiency gains in the E2E Supply Chain, learning to review existing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
- Under the guidance of Automation Developers, create automated solutions using UiPath and Power Automate.
- Document ideas, the development process, and final results according to corporate standards, supervised by Project Managers.
- Participate in a global community focused on suitable automation for front- and back-end Supply Chain needs.
- Learn project management methodologies and process improvement tools.
Requirements
- Enrolled senior student in engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
- First experiences in Supply Chain and the chemical industry are advantageous.
- Basic VBA skills.
- Experience in Phyton is a plus.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Ability to quickly grasp processes and analyze data concerning them.
- Collect, organize, and analyze various data sources.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, independence, and responsibility.
- Excellent analytical and logical thinking abilities.
- Fluency in both German and English.
About the Internship
The internship will last for up to six months, starting at the latest on the 1st of July, 2024.
