Commodity Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Commodity Buyer to join our team at Airbus Operations in Hamburg. As a Commodity Buyer, you will be responsible for leading the sourcing activity, managing tenders, and negotiating contracts to achieve the best purchasing conditions for the company.

- Participate in multifunctional and multidivisional teams throughout the tendering, contracting, and contract life cycle phases, taking into account the worldwide perimeter of the entire Group.
- Contribute to Airbus Customer Services' competitiveness in close cooperation with the Multi-Functional Team.
- Implement and ensure the application of the engineering services procurement strategy to customers in accordance with the processes.
- Monitor contracts with suppliers, ensuring they deliver expected performance in all areas, including logistics, support, quality, and costs.
- Manage daily professional and trustworthy relationships with suppliers and execute projects to optimize Airbus value while minimizing total cost of ownership and risks.
- Analyze the supplier landscape.
- Prepare decision meetings and coordinate activities, consolidating information.
- Exchange best practices, implement projects, and deliver procurement contributions to transformation initiatives.
- Manage transnational and transdivisional sourcing projects and serve as the focal point for the commodity leader.
- Negotiate, establish, and implement national and transnational frame contracts.
- Manage contracts with contract reviews with Airbus' internal customers and suppliers, evaluate and improve suppliers' performance in terms of time, costs, and quality, and ensure contractual agreements are up-to-date and compliant with the Procurement Policies.
- Contribute to business case development, including validation of procurement baseline, and ensure savings reporting in line with the requirements of Airbus Group and/or divisional savings programs.
- Provide rules and process information to Business Operations to ensure correct execution of transactional procurement activities to full customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Economics.
- At least 5 years of experience in procurement, supplier management, or contract management.
- Excellent knowledge of project management, data management, and data analysis.
- Agile project methodology and Click 'n Buy (BySide) experience are advantageous.
- Proficiency in English (C1 level), German (B1/B2 level), and French is an asset.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (3-4 times a year).
