Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced AV Installation Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and testing of audio-visual systems in both commercial and residential environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, integration, and commissioning of AV systems (e.g., projectors, video walls, sound systems, digital signage, and video conferencing solutions).
  • Troubleshooting and resolving AV system issues on-site.
  • Collaborating with project teams to interpret technical drawings and implement design specifications.
  • Installing cabling infrastructure, including wiring for audio, video, and control systems.
  • Testing and configuring AV equipment for optimal performance.
  • Providing technical support and training to clients as required.
  • Ensuring all installations comply with health and safety regulations.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as an AV Installation Specialist in commercial or residential settings.
  • Strong understanding of AV technologies, systems integration, and wiring standards.
  • Experience with video conferencing solutions (e.g., Cisco, Polycom, Zoom, etc.).
  • Familiarity with control systems such as Crestron, AMX, or Extron is a plus.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols related to AV systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and blueprints.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CTS, CTS-I, or other AV-related qualifications) are highly desirable.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces (where necessary).
