Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer in Mining to join our team. As a key member of our commissioning team, you will be responsible for planning and executing the installation of our digital mining solutions, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and coordinate customer site installation jobs, including scheduling activities, procuring parts and materials, and managing timelines.
- Manage delivery dates for technical installations projects, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction.
- Install and configure safety and productivity solutions, including Vehicle Intervention Control and Data Loggers.
- Train local installation crews for large-scale fleet installations.
- Maintain customer-focused relationships, understanding customer requirements, and collaborating with the back-end team to deliver exceptional project results.
- Validate installations and hand over solutions to customers.
- Collaborate closely with the South African back-end team.
- Self-organization and time management skills, with the ability to plan trips, service jobs, and manage team support.
- High quality awareness and attention to detail, ensuring only excellent work is delivered.
- Effective communication skills, working with Mine Site Customer teams, German headquarters, and South African design and manufacturing teams.
- Customer focus, prioritizing customer needs and ensuring they receive the best possible solution.
- Hands-on solution-focused attitude, with a passion for electrical systems and project commissioning.
- Fluent English language skills.
- Several years of experience as an Electrical Service Technician or Auto Electrician, with electrical system education and passion.
- Experience with project commissioning and international projects is a plus.
- Proficient in software installation and configuration.
- Interest in vehicle controllers, customer-specific installations, software development, and WiFi and LTE networks.
