Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our team in Mining. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and executing the installation of our safety and productivity solutions, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and schedule customer site installation jobs, including coordination with customers, procurement of materials, and management of timelines and delivery dates.
- Install and configure safety and productivity solutions, including Vehicle Intervention Control for Collision Avoidance and Data Loggers via discrete or CAN bus data interfaces and LTE or WiFi Networks for mobile data collection.
- Train local installation crews for large-scale fleet installations.
- Maintain customer-focused relationships, understanding customer requirements, and collaborating with the back-end team to deliver exceptional project results.
- Perform functional validation of installations and hand over solutions to customers.
- Collaborate closely with the South African back-end team.
- Self-organization, with the ability to plan trips, service jobs, tools, and parts requirements, and schedule team support.
- High quality awareness, with a focus on delivering excellent work.
- Effective communication, working with Mine Site Customer teams, German headquarter teams, and South African design and manufacturing teams.
- Customer focus, prioritizing customer needs to increase safety and productivity.
- Hands-on solution-focused attitude.
- Fluent English language skills.
- Several years of experience as an Electrical Service Technician or Auto Electrician.
- Electrical system education and passion.
- Experience with project commissioning and international projects is a plus.
- Proficient in software installation and configuration.
- Interest in vehicle controllers, customer-specific installations, software development, and WiFi and LTE networks.
- Unlimited employment contract.
