· Oversee installation planning for customer sites, coordinating activities with clients and ensuring all necessary components, materials, and subcontractors are organized for project execution.
· Manage project timelines and delivery schedules for technical installation projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
· Execute hands-on installation of safety and efficiency solutions, such as Vehicle Intervention Control systems for collision avoidance and data loggers utilizing discrete or CAN bus data interfaces, along with LTE or WiFi networks for mobile data collection.
· Provide training to local installation teams during large fleet deployments.
· Maintain strong customer relationships by understanding their needs and collaborating with the back-end team to achieve optimal project outcomes.
· Conduct functional validation of installations and ensure successful handover of solutions to clients.
· Collaborate closely with the South African back-end team to ensure project success.
Qualifications· Self-management skills: Ability to plan trips, service tasks, tool and parts requirements, and coordinate team support effectively.
· Commitment to quality: A dedication to delivering high-quality work.
· Effective communication: Experience working directly with mine site teams as well as teams from headquarters and design and manufacturing units.
· Customer-centric approach: Prioritizing the needs of mine site customers to enhance safety and productivity.
· Hands-on, solution-oriented mindset.
· Fluency in English.
Education and Experience:
· Several years of experience as an Electrical Service Technician or Auto Electrician.
· Background in electrical systems and a passion for the field.
· Experience with project commissioning and international projects is advantageous.
· Proficient in software installation and configuration.
· Interest in vehicle controllers, customer-specific installations, software development, and WiFi and LTE networks.
· Enthusiasm for integrating Industry 4.0 technologies into mining equipment.
