Logistics Operations Manager

As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing and developing a team of professionals to optimize outbound logistics processes. Your expertise in transportation will be crucial in ensuring the smooth daily transportation operations, including organizing special marketing deliveries.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a team of three professionals to optimize outbound logistics processes
  • Monitor transportation costs and actively support the annual budgeting process
  • Continuously review and adjust SOPs and SLAs, monitor and report KPIs to ensure the highest standards
  • Ensure smooth daily transportation operations, including organizing special marketing deliveries
  • Accurate and timely invoicing within the scope of outbound logistics
  • Closely coordinate with warehouse locations to ensure that delivery requirements are met
  • Contribute transportation expertise to the implementation of logistics solutions and actively participate in end-to-end projects

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field
  • Proven experience in leading and developing teams, including succession planning
  • Extensive experience in transportation with a comprehensive understanding of the transport market
  • Familiarity with logistics processes; experience in operational transportation planning is a plus
  • Experience working with WMS/TMS; basic SAP knowledge is advantageous
  • Strong organizational skills and time management to effectively prioritize tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to successfully collaborate with team members and other departments
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • High attention to detail and willingness to work with repetitive tasks
  • Proactive, practical work style with a strong solutions-oriented approach
  • Fluent in English, very good German skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities
