About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Reinsurance Accountant to join our team at Hannover Re. As a Reinsurance Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the preparation of comprehensive retrocession cover statements and claims notifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review retrocession cover statements and claims notifications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Process and verify reinsurance settlements to ensure timely and accurate payment.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries and issues related to reinsurance contracts.
- Participate in working groups and digitalization projects to drive process improvements and innovation.
Requirements
- Commercial training or degree in a relevant field, such as accounting or finance.
- Experience in processing (re)insurance contracts, with a strong understanding of reinsurance principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with advanced skills in data analysis and reporting.
- Strong numerical skills and a willingness to learn new IT technologies.
- Business fluent in German and conversational in English.
