About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Reinsurance Accountant to join our team at Talanx AG. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for setting up and developing a modern accounting structure for our cedents in Latin America.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup and development of a modern accounting structure for Talanx cedents in Latin America
- Verification and balancing of reinsurance data to process statements of accounts and balances for Talanx AG and Talanx Reinsurance Broker
- Quality management, coordination, and on-time delivery of accounting data for internal and external clients
- Collaboration and support for the development and optimization of technical tools and applications used within the accounting process
- Communication with internal and external clients in an internationally formed environment
- Accounting Reconciliation of reinsurance Statements of account
- Development of standardization of the Accounting Process for Cedents
About You:
We are looking for a professional with a strong background in accounting and finance, preferably with experience in insurance and/or reinsurance. You should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
Requirements:
- Professional education in economics or comparable studies
- Experience in insurance and/or reinsurance, financial or technical accounting
- Experience with reinsurance accounting systems (ProRis, Re7, SAP FS-RI)
- Ambitious and empathic team player, geared towards taking over new tasks and facing new challenges
- Open and solution-oriented mindset
- Confident handling of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office software, familiar with tools to deal with large data sets (SQL, Power-BI)
- Fluent in German and English, other languages such as Portuguese or Spanish would be an advantage
