Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Reinsurance Accountant to join our team at Hannover Re. As a Reinsurance Accountant - Retrocession Cover Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing comprehensive retrocession cover statements, processing reinsurance settlements, and coordinating with internal and external customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review retrocession cover statements, including claims notifications and financial calculations
- Process and verify reinsurance settlements, including current account processing and payment coordination
- Coordinate with internal and external customers to resolve queries and issues
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement accounting processes and procedures
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Commercial training in insurance, banking, accounting, or a related field
- Experience in reinsurance accounting and retrocession cover
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent German language skills and conversational English
