Data Protection Consultant

Our Data Privacy team in Germany is seeking a highly skilled professional to join our ranks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a DPO for certain German entities in the Energy Assets domain.
  • Provide support to the business on data protection queries and advise on Germany-specific data protection issues.
  • Travel regularly to locations in Germany to create and maintain relationships with local stakeholders and carry out audits or support in audits as necessary.
  • Maintain documentation in relation to entity compliance for reporting purposes.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and German.
  • Prior data protection related work, inhouse or in a law firm, is essential.
  • Data Protection Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT or their equivalents from other certification bodies are mandatory.
  • Knowledge of data protection laws including but not limited to the GDPR/BDSG, as well as an understanding on how to assess technical and organisational measures.
  • Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders and present complex technical topics to them.
