Postdoctoral Fellow in Cellular / Structural Biology

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Institute of Biochemistry, Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to investigate the molecular machineries and protein complexes controlling cell membrane dynamics in health and disease.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and conduct experiments to investigate the molecular mechanisms of cell membrane dynamics
  • Develop and apply biochemical and structural biology techniques to study protein complexes and their interactions
  • Collaborate with the Tampé Lab team to integrate biochemical, structural, and cell biological approaches to decode the function and interplay of molecular machineries
  • Present research findings at international conferences and publish in top-tier scientific journals
Requirements:
  • PhD in biochemistry or a related field
  • Proven experience in protein purification and structural studies
  • Excellent skills in academic writing and oral communication
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
