Manufacturing Engineering Support

Rolls-Royce Deutschland is a leading provider of high-quality aircraft engine development, manufacturing, and servicing solutions. With over 3,500 employees from diverse backgrounds, the company is dedicated to excellence in its field.
The Oberursel site near Frankfurt am Main specializes in producing advanced components for various Rolls-Royce engine programs. It also serves as a maintenance center for small gas turbines used in military applications.
A team of approximately 100 engineers at the site supports a wide range of manufacturing processes, including precision machining and specialized techniques such as electron beam welding, rotational friction welding, shot peening, plasma coatings, and non-destructive testing methods like X-ray, crack, and structural inspections. These processes are crucial for manufacturing critical gas turbine components, including high-quality parts like high-pressure compressors and turbine discs.
Your Role:
- Provide valuable support to our Manufacturing Engineers in both new product launches and ongoing series production.
- Contribute to the development and revision of essential technical manufacturing instructions, including inspection documents, technical sketches, and technical reports.
- Actively participate in product introduction, quality improvement, and cost reduction projects. Depending on your progress, you may even lead independent project-like tasks within the manufacturing environment.
- Analyze measurement data using statistical process control and qualitative methods to optimize both component and process quality.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Preference given to Master's program candidates with a recently completed or soon-to-be completed Bachelor's degree.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
- Basic knowledge of CAD systems (Siemens NX) and SAP is advantageous.
- Demonstrate a quick grasp of concepts, reliability, and a strong team spirit.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and German.
