About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Procurement and Supply Chain Manager to join our team at IDEALworks GmbH. This is a unique opportunity to work with a forward-thinking company that is driving innovation in logistics and industrial automation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management, with a proven track record of success in optimizing inventory levels, reducing lead times, and ensuring product and spare-part availability.

As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing logistics partners and carriers, negotiating transportation and warehousing contracts, and analyzing data to assess procurement and supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce lead times.
  • Manage logistics partners and carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation and delivery of goods.
  • Negotiate transportation and warehousing contracts to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize data analytics to assess procurement and supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on cost savings, supplier performance, inventory levels, and logistics metrics.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • At least 4 - 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally in the technology or logistics industry.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and supplier management best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a proactive, strategic approach.
  • Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented, with a strategic mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
