Fire Alarm Dispatcher

U.S. Army Europe and Africa is seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Dispatcher to join our team. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for receiving and responding to emergency calls, dispatching fire and rescue teams, and coordinating with other emergency services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and respond to emergency calls from fire alarm systems and other sources
  • Dispatch fire and rescue teams to emergency scenes
  • Coordinate with other emergency services, such as police and ambulance
  • Monitor and control emergency situations, providing critical information to responders
  • Maintain accurate records of emergency responses and incidents
Requirements:
  • Minimum Basic Requirements: E&T Level I (completed lower secondary school / Hauptschulabschluss) PLUS German certification as basic fire fighter (abgeschlossene Feuerwehrgrundausbildung, gemaess Feuerwehrdienstvorschrift 2 (FwDV2))
  • Completed training in accordance with the guidelines of the US Forces Fire Prevention Program
  • Current employees who do not meet the basic educational requirement above and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 years of creditable general experience
  • General Experience: Any work that demonstrates the ability to follow directions and to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures and that otherwise demonstrate the ability to perform or learn to perform the duties of the position
Language Proficiency:

English Language Proficiency Level AND German Language Proficiency Level C1 required

Working Conditions:

The incumbent of this position is required to perform TDY occasionally. Work on holidays and weekends as well as 24-hours shift work required.
