We are seeking an exceptional Flight Control Laws Engineer to join our team at Lilium. As a key member of our Flight Mechanics department, you will play a pivotal role in developing and testing the Flight Control System, ensuring the Lilium Jet's safe and efficient flight.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement flight control laws from requirements to validation, integration, and testing.
- Perform linear and non-linear analyses to ensure robustness and accuracy of the FCL.
- Collaborate with handling qualities and flight testing teams on piloted testing of control laws baselines.
- Work closely with Aerodynamic and Modelling teams to ensure the suitability of the Flight Dynamics Model for Flight Control Laws development.
- Support safety assessment activities on flight control system and aircraft level.
- Contribute to shaping processes and frameworks of the flight control law team.
- MEng or M.Sc. in Aeronautical Engineering or similar degree.
- 5 years of professional experience in flight control law development for fly-by-wire aircraft with demonstrated track record of delivery.
- Good understanding of flight dynamics modelling, with previous professional experience in this area a plus.
- Experience with flight control development of highly augmented aircraft configurations beneficial.
- Experience with ARP 4754A and DO-178C a plus.
- Excellent skills in Matlab/Simulink.
- High level of self-reliance with ability to work in a team and autonomously.
- Fluent English language skills essential.
