About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Flight Control Laws Engineer to join our team at Lilium. As a key member of our Flight Mechanics department, you will play a pivotal role in developing and testing the Flight Control System, ensuring the Lilium Jet flies safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and test Flight Control Laws, working closely with the Flight Control Laws Manager and integrated teams.
  • Perform linear and non-linear analyses to ensure robustness and accuracy of the FCL.
  • Collaborate with handling qualities and flight-testing teams on piloted testing and validation.
  • Interface with Aerodynamic and Modelling teams to ensure suitability of the Flight Dynamics Model.
  • Support safety assessment activities and contribute to process improvements within the Flight Control Laws team.
Requirements
  • M.Eng or M. Sc. in aeronautical engineering or similar degree.
  • 8 years of professional experience in flight control law development for fly-by-wire aircraft.
  • Excellent skills in Matlab/Simulink and experience with flight dynamics modelling.
  • Fluent English language skills are essential.
