Position Overview:
The role serves as a pivotal operational link for credit management, collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders including Finance Directors, Customer Service, and Legal teams. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining the comprehensive Order-to-Cash and Credit Management process, ensuring adherence to IFRS and internal guidelines while conducting thorough risk assessments and executing strategic financial forecasts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, align, and uphold the comprehensive Order-to-Cash and Credit Management process along with all associated policies in accordance with IFRS and internal company standards.
- Oversee and implement the accounts receivables process, which includes establishing payment terms, categorizing customer and receivables risk, and managing implications on cash flow and working capital.
- Conduct regular monitoring of customers through external agencies.
- Design, implement, and execute routine KPI monitoring, analyses, and forecasts related to cash, credits, receivables, and customers, while reporting to relevant stakeholders.
- Handle transactional receivables accounting, including reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, managing master data, assessing credit limits, and supporting the dunning and collections process in collaboration with local Finance Directors and Customer Service teams.
- Assist in the financial treatment of bad debts in compliance with policies and IFRS standards, initiating mitigation and legal actions in close cooperation with Customer Service and Legal teams.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, or a relevant professional qualification in Finance.
- A minimum of 3 years of pertinent experience in Credit Management, Risk Management, (Internal) Audit, or Accounting within an internationally operating organization, or several years of relevant experience in Financial Audit or Accounting advisory.
- Strong knowledge in Finance and Accounting principles.
- Proven experience in project work and process design, particularly in Finance & Accounting, ideally within global business services or shared services environments.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Order-to-Cash and Credit Management process, along with good knowledge of other Finance and Accounting processes and IFRS standards.
- Proficiency in SAP R/3, SAP ECC or S/4 HANA, and MS-Office applications.
- Business fluent in English, both written and spoken, with good to very good conversational skills in German.
- Excellent communication skills with a persuasive and goal-oriented approach.
- High customer and service orientation, ability to work collaboratively in teams, and a strong affinity for cross-functional and international environments.
- Detail-oriented and proactive work style.
