Senior Expert in Order-to-Cash Operations and Credit Management (m/f/x)
Position Overview:
This role serves as the central operational link for credit management, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, including Finance Directors, Customer Service, and Legal teams. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining the comprehensive Order-to-Cash and Credit Management process, ensuring adherence to IFRS and internal policies while executing thorough risk management and strategic financial forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, align, and sustain the comprehensive Order-to-Cash and Credit Management process along with all associated policies in accordance with IFRS and internal company standards.
- Oversee and implement the accounts receivables process, including the establishment of payment terms, categorization of customer and receivables risk, and management of cash and working capital implications.
- Conduct regular monitoring of customers through external agencies.
- Design, implement, and execute routine KPI monitoring, analyses, and forecasts concerning cash, credits, receivables, and customers, along with reporting to all relevant stakeholders.
- Handle transactional receivables accounting, including reconciliations, resolution of discrepancies, master data management, credit limit assessments, and support for dunning and collections processes in collaboration with local Finance Directors and Customer Service teams.
- Assist in executing bad debt financial treatment in compliance with policies and IFRS standards, initiating mitigation and legal actions in close cooperation with Customer Service and Legal teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Economics, Business Administration, or a related Finance-oriented professional qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Credit Management, Risk Management, (Internal) Audit, or Accounting within an internationally operating organization, or extensive experience in Financial Audit or Accounting advisory.
- Strong knowledge of Finance and Accounting principles.
- Proven experience in project work and process design, particularly in Finance & Accounting, ideally within global business services or shared services environments.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Order-to-Cash and Credit Management process, along with solid knowledge of other Finance and Accounting processes and IFRS.
- Proficiency in SAP R/3, SAP ECC, or S/4 HANA, as well as MS-Office applications.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with good to very good conversational skills in German.
- Excellent communication skills with a persuasive and goal-oriented approach.
- High customer and service orientation, ability to work collaboratively in teams, and a strong inclination to operate in a cross-functional and international context.
- Detail-oriented and proactive work ethic.
