About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Credit and Collections Specialist to join our team at Accor. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the collection process and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding debts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze customer accounts to identify overdue payments and determine appropriate collection actions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, payment agreements, and collection activities
- Engage with customers to discuss outstanding debts and negotiate mutually beneficial payment arrangements
- Evaluate credit risks and make recommendations for credit limits and collection terms
- Implement collection strategies and processes to improve cash flow and minimize bad debt exposure
- Prepare reports on collection activities, overdue rates, and trends for management review
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or disputes related to billing and payment issues
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, with a focus on collections, accounts receivable, or a similar role
- Knowledge of collection techniques, credit policies, and relevant laws and regulations
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
