Job Description

We are looking for a Spacecraft Operations Specialist to support satellite operations services for the Meteosat weather satellites for EUMETSAT. The ideal candidate will have experience with real-time systems and the execution of procedures in an operational environment. The role involves coordinating daily activities in the control center, performing mission analysis, and preparing reports to demonstrate system operability and availability.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily activities in the control center and all manned facilities
  • Perform mission analysis and prepare reports to demonstrate system operability and availability
  • Perform weekly planning, recording operational and maintenance inputs, and resolving initial conflicts
  • Maintain the satellite and ground segment database
  • Analyze system issues using available reporting and analysis tools
  • Create and develop operational and flight procedures
  • Prepare regular performance reports

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science, telecommunications, physics, or aerospace engineering
  • Experience with real-time systems and operational procedures
  • Structured and analytical way of working
  • Fluency in English, German an advantage
