Job Title: Crew Systems Integration Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Crew Systems Integration Specialist to join our team at Bishop GmbH. As a key member of our aerospace team, you will be responsible for providing engineering expertise and support to the design and development of spacecraft systems, with a focus on human spaceflight.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide Crew Systems engineering expertise and support to the design and development of spacecraft systems, with a focus on human spaceflight.
  • Contribute to the definition and refinement of Starlab Mission ConOps and OpsCon.
  • Analyze, assess, and make recommendations regarding Crew Systems design and development.
  • Collaborate with other Starlab teams, including Crew Health and Medical System, S&MA, SE&I, Robotics, Flight Crew, Ground Support, and Mission Operations teams.
  • Perform tailoring and tracking of Crew Systems Requirements.
  • Support definition and development of low-, medium-, and high-fidelity mock-ups concepts and requirements.
  • Support Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) test activities.
  • Support and participate in the HSI Working Group.
  • Contribute to associated RFIs/RFPs.
  • Participate in program reviews.

  • Ability to learn fast, work pro-actively, and comfortable working in full autonomy, with attention to details.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Flexible in working time and open-minded spirit.
  • Flexible in supporting business missions as required.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in aerospace, electrical/mechanical engineering, computer science (or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of spacecraft operations/engineering, preferably with a focus on human spaceflight, Human Systems Integration, or Human Factors Engineering.
Language Skills:
  • Business fluent English, additional languages are a plus.
Other Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of spacecraft systems and subsystems architectures and mission support concepts.
  • Experience with Human-in-the-Loop testing.
  • Ability to define and support programmatic aspects like engineering schedule and risks.
  • Ability to generate and review technical documentation, e.g. SPECs, IRD/ICD.
  • Experience with Systems Engineering processes, techniques, e.g. with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and tools (e.g. CAMEO), Requirements Engineering and tools (DOORS, JAMA).
  • Basic knowledge of computer-aided design.
  • Ability to support integration and test activities on hardware and software.
