For permanent employment at OHB System AG in Bremen, we are looking for a Spacecraft Performance Specialist.

Your Tasks

As part of the Satellite Systems Engineering department, the System Performance team is responsible for controlling the system performance of our spacecraft from study phases until commissioning in-orbit. You will work in an interdisciplinary environment, contributing to the overall system architecture of our space missions, coordinating design and development activities related to space system performance, and verifying performance requirements by analyses and tests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain mission performance budgets, including geometric performance.
  • Coordinate performance analyses at satellite level.
  • Analyze geometric performances and develop associated software tools.
  • Flow down performance requirements from system level to satellite and subsystem level.
  • Plan and implement performance calibration.
  • Manage data processing and simulation chains at system level, including responsibility for processing aspects at satellite level.
  • Contribute to technical management of payloads and platform units relevant for system performances.

Your Qualifications

  • University degree in physics, aerospace engineering, remote sensing, or similar.
  • Professional experience in satellite design, control systems, geometric performances, or technical management of payload and/or unit development for space missions.
  • Experience in programming (MATLAB, Python).
  • Self-managed, solution-oriented, and proactive working style.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Working level proficiency in written and spoken English and German.
