Job Title: EHS and Process Safety Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled EHS and Process Safety Professional to join our team at IFF N&H Germany GmbH & Co. KG. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement hazardous substance management strategies in compliance with chemical law and regulations.
  • Coordinate emergency management systems, including training and drills, to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Lead and document Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) studies to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Develop and implement EHS relevant standards and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert advice and support to plants and departments on occupational and process safety culture development.
  • Network with global EHS organization to share best practices and stay up-to-date on industry developments.
  • Monitor and track legal requirements in hazardous substance management, occupational safety, fire protection, hazard prevention, emergency management, site security, and process safety.

Requirements:

  • University degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, or comparable education.
  • Knowledge and relevant training in hazardous substance management, Process Safety Management, and Reactive Chemicals.
  • Several years of professional experience in a production environment in the chemical industry.
  • Several years of experience in occupational and process safety.
  • Certification as "Sicherheitsfachkraft".
  • Fluent German and English skills.
  • First experience in direct or indirect team leadership.
