Job Description
International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) is a leading global business with a diverse portfolio of food, pharma, and industrial ingredients. As a Site Director at IFF, you will be responsible for leading one of the company's largest sites, home to over 500 employees and an industrial park with multiple tenants.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in operations management, with experience in EHS, Quality, Maintenance, and Continuous Improvement systems and tools. You will be responsible for advancing a culture of continuous improvement, driving safety, productivity, and quality, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with local community, civic groups, other businesses, and manufacturing operations within the industrial community.
- Lead and manage the site's Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, Quality, and Food Safety Management Systems.
- Develop and implement a 3-5 year site strategic plan, including a clear site vision, which supports the business and corporate strategy.
- Lead site staff team in identifying Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and aligning action plans with business strategy and anticipating future needs.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in chemical or biochemical engineering or science with experience in industrial biochemistry, pharma, or food additives with operations experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree in chemical or biochemical engineering with 6-10 years of operations experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years of managerial experience, including experience as managing director in a German legislative environment.
