Shape the future of energy transition with NKT Cables-china as a Junior Electrical Engineer for High Voltage Cables.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for technical documentation and quotation for land cables (HVAC or HVDC Germany Corridor Projects) or sea cables. Your tasks will include:

  • Examining tenders for cable connections for technical feasibility and making decisions on them
  • Carrying out technical calculations and creating the corresponding system design, including accessories
  • Compiling the necessary technical documents, including overview technical drawings
  • Setting up the necessary cables, accessories, and external/internal services
  • Reviewing and commenting on the technical preparations of subcontractors
  • Creating and updating technical descriptions and data sheets
  • Supporting the team during technical negotiations and project management in project discussions and acceptance tests with the customer

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering
  • Experience in modeling and sizing cable systems
  • Initial professional experience in large-scale projects/high-voltage cable projects
  • High communication and negotiation skills, as well as a high level of commitment, flexibility, and the ability to work in a team
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both spoken and written
  • Very good IT knowledge in Microsoft, Microsoft Project, SAP, as well as confident handling of common software such as COMSOL and MATLAB, programming knowledge
