Senior Electrical Engineer High Voltage Cables Specialist

Are you a skilled electrical engineer looking to take your career to the next level? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at NKT Cables-china. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high voltage cable solutions that enable the energy transition.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Technical responsibility for high voltage cable quotation and project with a focus on land cables (HVAC or HVDC Germany Corridor Projects) or sea cables
  • Creation and review of tender documents, technical feasibility check involving production and development departments and technical offer preparations
  • Carrying out technical calculations and preparing corresponding documentation
  • Cable system design and further optimization for large tenders and projects
  • Technical lead for projects and support of project management in customer interactions
  • Exchange of know-how and cooperation with cable and accessories design, development and production
  • Preparation and revision of technical calculation based on latest design standards
  • Support for sales in context of qualifications and technical clarifications

Your Profile

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced electrical engineer who can contribute to our mission of connecting a greener world. To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in HVAC or HVDC cable design
  • Very good IT knowledge in Microsoft, Microsoft Project, SAP as well as confident handling of common software such as COMSOL and MATLAB, programming knowledge
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both spoken and written
  • High communication and negotiation skills as well as a high level of commitment, flexibility, and the ability to work in a team
