Senior Electrical Engineer High Voltage Cables Specialist

**About the Role**

NKT Cables-China is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team as a High Voltage Cable Design and Development Expert. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high voltage cables for various applications.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Design and develop high voltage cables for land and sea applications, including HVAC and HVDC systems.
  • Conduct technical feasibility checks and prepare tender documents, technical offers, and project proposals.
  • Perform technical calculations and prepare documentation for cable system design and optimization.
  • Lead technical projects and support project management in customer interactions.
  • Collaborate with cable and accessories design, development, and production teams to exchange knowledge and best practices.
  • Prepare and revise technical calculations based on the latest design standards.
  • Support sales teams in qualifying and clarifying technical requirements.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering.
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in HVAC or HVDC cable design.
  • Excellent IT skills in Microsoft, Microsoft Project, SAP, and common software such as COMSOL and MATLAB.
  • Proficient in German and English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a high level of commitment, flexibility, and teamwork.
