Certification Engineer in O&M

We are seeking a highly skilled Certification Engineer in Operation and Maintenance (O&M) to join our team at Vattenfall. As a key member of our Certification team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our offshore wind farms are operated in compliance with regulations and industry standards.
Your primary responsibility will be to manage the certification process for our Sandbank and DanTysk wind farms, ensuring that all necessary tasks are completed on time and to the required quality standards. You will work closely with our asset management, consenting, operations, and engineering teams to ensure that certification requirements are met.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing O&M certification tasks according to German regulations
- Keeping the certification scope and strategy updated in a changing regulatory environment
- Steering tasks and activities across asset management, consenting, operations, and engineering
- Ensuring timely reporting to authorities and following up on requirements and closure of conditions
- Participating in authority meetings and stakeholder associations
- Leading technical and commercial negotiations with inspectors, certification bodies, and service providers
- Working with Certification Engineers across European wind projects to harmonize certification processes and best practices
- Contributing to the Certification Team's improvement of procedures and tools in line with the BA Wind quality management system
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A university degree in Engineering or a related field
- Broad technical understanding, preferably with experience in offshore wind or a related industry
- Proven project management skills and the ability to communicate clearly in a multicultural work environment
- Experience in managing independent certification bodies
- Knowledge of certification in offshore wind projects, including related codes and standards
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand and interpret regulations and engineering problems
- Motivation to work in multinational teams and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Fluency in German and English
