Certification Engineer in O&M

We are seeking a highly skilled Certification Engineer in Operation and Maintenance (O&M) to join our team at Vattenfall. As a key member of our Certification team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our offshore wind portfolio is planned, developed, operated, and certified according to state-of-the-art industry practice and national standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the certification process for our offshore wind farms, ensuring compliance with German regulations and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain the certification scope and strategy, adapting to changes in the regulatory environment.
- Coordinate tasks and activities across asset management, consenting, operations, and engineering, focusing on cost, quality, and risk management.
- Ensure timely reporting to authorities and follow up on requirements and closure of conditions.
- Participate in authority meetings and stakeholder associations, representing Vattenfall's interests.
- Lead technical and commercial negotiations with inspectors, certification bodies, and service providers, ensuring certification requirements are anchored in commercial agreements and contracts.
- Collaborate with Certification Engineers across European wind projects to harmonize best practices and improve certification processes.
- Contribute to the Certification Team's improvement of procedures and tools, aligning with Vattenfall's quality management system.
We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional with a positive mindset, a drive to deliver quality work, and a pragmatic approach. You should be a technical allrounder with a structured way of working, capable of maintaining a helicopter perspective while diving into details as needed. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly are essential.
We value experience in project management, certification, and offshore wind or related industries. Knowledge of certification in offshore wind projects, codes, and standards is also highly desirable.
