Certification Engineer in O&M

We are seeking a highly skilled Certification Engineer in Operation and Maintenance (O&M) to join our team at Vattenfall. As a key member of our Certification team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our offshore wind farms are operated in compliance with regulations and industry standards.
Your primary focus will be on managing the certification process for our Sandbank and DanTysk wind farms, working closely with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient process. You will also be responsible for maintaining the certification scope and strategy, steering tasks and activities across asset management, consenting, operations, and engineering, and ensuring timely reporting to authorities.
We are looking for a technical allrounder with a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments. If you have a passion for renewable energy and a drive to deliver high-quality work, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the certification process for our offshore wind farms, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain the certification scope and strategy, adapting to changing regulatory environments.
- Steer tasks and activities across asset management, consenting, operations, and engineering, focusing on cost, quality, and risk management.
- Ensure timely reporting to authorities, following up on requirements and closure of conditions.
- Participate in authority meetings and stakeholder associations, representing Vattenfall's interests.
- Lead technical and commercial negotiations with certification bodies and service providers, ensuring certification requirements are met.
- Collaborate with Certification Engineers across European wind projects to harmonize best practices and improve certification processes.
- University degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Broad technical understanding, preferably with experience in offshore wind or related industries.
- Proven project management skills and ability to communicate clearly in a multicultural environment.
- Experience in managing independent certification bodies and knowledge of certification in offshore wind projects.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to understand and interpret regulations and engineering problems.
- Motivated to work in multinational teams and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Fluent in German and English.
