Job Summary

Ferring Holding SA is seeking a highly experienced Medical Director to lead our Cluster Medical Affairs Team in the DACH Region & Netherlands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Strategy
    • Develop and execute strategic plans for the Cluster Medical Affairs Team, aligning with Ferring's global strategy.
    • Provide medical and scientific leadership, representing Ferring with authorities, patient organizations, and external opinion leaders.
  • Medical Operations
    • Oversee the execution of medical operations in the Cluster, ensuring compliance with GCP, SOPs, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
    • Lead the allocation of resources and budget control for the Medical Affairs Department.
  • Data Generation and Analysis
    • Provide medical and scientific input, oversight, and execution of data generation activities.
  • Representation and Collaboration
    • Represent the Cluster internally and provide input to Regional Medical Affairs Western Europe & Canada.
Requirements
  • Education
    • University Medical or Scientific degree.
    • Higher life science qualification (PhD, PharmD) optional.
    • Ideally Business degree (MBA).
  • Experience
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry or Biotechnology Companies.
    • Significant experience in Medical Affairs, including design and oversight of clinical studies.
    • At least 5 years of management or leadership experience.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Current working knowledge of legal, regulatory, and compliance regulations and guidelines.
    • Comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and clinical operations.
    • Fluent in written and spoken German and English.
    • Goal- and result-oriented thinking and acting.
    • Strong analytical/conceptual thinking skills.
    • Familiar with industry-standard tools.
