Packaging Expert with a Focus on Sustainability

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Group Packaging Expert Flexible to join our team in Düsseldorf. As a key member of our Group Packaging Competence Team, you will be responsible for developing modern, future-oriented packaging materials that prioritize sustainability, resource conservation, and efficiency.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of our international flexible packaging strategy, focusing on innovation and sustainability.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and opportunities for improvement in our packaging portfolio, driving standardization, harmonization, and simplification.
  • Manage and monitor flexible packaging projects, defining measures to achieve targets and ensuring total cost of ownership is optimized.
  • Drive sustainability projects to reduce packaging material weight and waste, while improving integrity to meet Intersnack Group requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop new business opportunities and create innovative packaging solutions.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in packaging technology or a related field.
  • 4 years of relevant professional experience in the packaging sector, preferably in flexible packaging development and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of flexible packaging processes and materials, with experience in food production.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead complex projects in a multinational organization.
  • Fluent business English (written/spoken) is mandatory, with German being an advantage.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.
