BASF Process Catalysts GmbH is a leading provider of innovative catalyst solutions. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Catalyst Sales Professional to join our team in Nienburg/Weser, Germany.

About the Role

As a Commercial Catalyst Sales Professional, you will be responsible for providing sales forecasts and negotiating contracts with key customers. You will work closely with our business management and marketing teams to develop and implement sales strategies that drive revenue growth. Your primary goal will be to build strong relationships with our customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions that meet their requirements.

Your responsibilities will also include leading and coordinating new projects from initial contact to commercial and legal negotiations. This requires strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as excellent negotiation and account management skills. You will work closely with our technical teams to ensure that our customers receive the best possible solutions.

We are looking for someone with a PhD or Master’s degree in science in chemistry, catalysis, or chemical engineering. Alternatively, equivalent experience in a related field would be acceptable. You should have a strong understanding of the technical, commercial, and compliance aspects of our business, including knowledge of PM processes. A deep understanding of English language is essential for this role.

In terms of specific qualifications, we require:

  • A PhD or Master’s degree in science in chemistry, catalysis, or chemical engineering
  • Equivalent experience in a related field
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent account management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal)

We estimate the salary for this position to be around 80,000 - 100,000 EUR per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This includes a competitive package of benefits, including health insurance, pension scheme, and annual leave.
