Casualty Resolution Officer Job Description

HJF Medical Research International is seeking a highly skilled Casualty Resolution Officer to support the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) in Miesau, Germany. This is a hybrid position that requires a unique blend of administrative, liaison, and logistics expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide in-region expertise and perspective during DPAA mission planning and execution, serving as the principal liaison with U.S. Embassy representatives and host nation entities.
  • Conduct post-mission assessments, provide feedback for future missions, and submit periodic written reports on DPAA operations within the AOR and potential geopolitical impacts.
  • Coordinate and facilitate all phases of DPAA mission elements' movement into/within/from the AOR, including customs and immigration procedures, equipment importation, and other required processes.
  • Ensure administrative closure with host nation permitting authorities and facilitate permitting for partner missions as needed.
  • Provide primary interpretation and secondary translation support, maintaining situational awareness of local and regional political-military developments within the AOR.
  • Perform day-to-day administrative tasks, including drafting and tracking official correspondence, records management, and logistics coordination.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Life Sciences; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in a related field, with a strong background in project management, logistics, and liaison work.
  • English fluency (reading, writing, and speaking) is required; French fluency is also required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other software applications.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive in Europe.
