Job Title: MRO Contract and Procurement Manager
Job Overview:
The MRO Contract and Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing the sourcing, procurement, and management of contracts related to Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) activities. This role involves establishing strategic partnerships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing supplier performance, and ensuring the continuous availability of critical MRO materials and services that support operational efficiency, reliability, and safety in the company fleet and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing & Procurement:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for MRO materials, spare parts, equipment, and services to support the airline's operational needs.
- Identify and qualify suppliers, and negotiate pricing, delivery, and contractual terms to ensure optimal cost savings and value for the company.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies in all procurement activities.
- Supplier Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure service quality, on-time delivery, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews and develop corrective action plans as needed.
- Manage long-term supplier agreements, including pricing, performance benchmarks, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Contract Management:
- Draft, review, and manage contracts for MRO procurement, ensuring that all terms are legally compliant and aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor contract performance, compliance, and renewals, proactively addressing any potential issues.
- Ensure proper documentation of contracts, purchase orders, and procurement records.
- Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Manage the full lifecycle of MRO contracts.
- Collaborate with finance and operational teams to develop MRO procurement budgets and forecasts.
- Track and analyze MRO spending, identifying cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality or operational efficiency.
- Implement cost-control measures and maintain effective inventory management to minimize excess and obsolete stock.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to understand specific MRO needs and provide timely procurement support.
- Liaise with legal, finance, and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, contractual terms, and corporate governance.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to avoid disruption to the company's MRO activities.
- Ensure continuous availability of critical materials and spare parts, addressing shortages, lead time issues, and supplier reliability.
Qualifications:
- Completed relevant studies or training in the field.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement and contract management, with a specific focus on MRO, aviation or aircraft.
- Proven experience in contract management, supplier negotiations, and managing high-value procurement portfolios.
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and industry standards for MRO procurement (e.g., FAA, EASA).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficient in procurement systems (ERP/SAP) and contract management software.
