About the Role
tesa is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability of our material supply and managing material prices in a volatile market.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct frequent and assertive negotiations with suppliers to secure a stable material supply and manage material prices.
- Independently develop and finalize supplier contracts that meet our business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to synthesize strategies and develop material category strategies.
- Transform these strategies into actionable plans and ensure their successful implementation.
- Continuously seek innovative procurement solutions that support our business growth.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their unique requirements.
- Collaborate across departments and countries to create and implement effective procurement solutions.
- Conduct regular market research to stay informed about market trends and developments.
- Ensure strict adherence to our product development processes and procurement guidelines.
Requirements
- You have a Bachelor's degree in economics, chemistry, or engineering and several years of relevant professional experience in an international industrial context, preferably in the chemical industry.
- You are an experienced negotiator with assertive and skilled communication skills.
- You are familiar with modern procurement processes and systems.
- You have experience working with value engineering and cost modeling methods and tools.
- You understand material category management and product development processes.
- You have experience in cross-functional and international project management.
- You are proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office.
- You thrive in cross-functional teamwork and are interculturally adaptable and internationally flexible.
- You are proactive and open-minded, always seeking procurement solutions that meet customer needs.
- You are fluent in Business English, and proficiency in German is a plus.
