About the Role
tesa is seeking a skilled Procurement professional to join our team. As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our competitiveness by conducting frequent, assertive negotiations to ensure a stable material supply and manage material prices in a volatile supply market.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently form and finalize supplier contracts.
- Transform strategies into material category strategies and ensure their successful implementation.
- Continuously seek innovative procurement solutions that support our business growth.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, fully understanding their unique requirements.
- Collaborate across departments and countries to create and implement effective procurement solutions.
- Conduct regular market research.
- Ensure strict adherence to our product development processes and Procurement Guideline.
Requirements
- Completed a Bachelor's degree in economics, chemistry, or engineering and have several years of relevant professional experience in an international, industrial context, preferably in the chemical industry.
- Experienced negotiator, assertive and skilled.
- Familiar with modern procurement processes and systems.
- Ideally worked with value engineering/cost modeling methods and tools.
- Understand material category management and product development processes.
- Experience in cross-functional and international project management.
- Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office.
- Thrive in cross-functional teamwork.
- Intericulturally adaptable and internationally flexible.
- Proactive and open-minded, always seeking procurement solutions that meet customer needs.
- Fluent in Business English, and proficiency in German is a plus.
