We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at tesa, a leading manufacturer of adhesive tape solutions. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability of our material supply and managing material prices in a volatile market.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct frequent and assertive negotiations with suppliers to secure stable material supply and manage material prices.
- Independently develop and finalize supplier contracts that meet our business needs.
- Develop and implement material category strategies that align with our business objectives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their unique requirements and develop effective procurement solutions.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of procurement strategies.
- Conduct regular market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
- Ensure strict adherence to our product development processes and procurement guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in economics, chemistry, or engineering, with several years of relevant professional experience in an international industrial context.
- Proven negotiation and assertiveness skills, with experience in modern procurement processes and systems.
- Familiarity with value engineering and cost modeling methods and tools.
- Experience in material category management and product development processes.
- Strong project management skills, with experience in cross-functional and international projects.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment.
- Fluency in Business English, with proficiency in German a plus.
