Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Innovation Scout to join our team at Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited. As a key member of our Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) business unit, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating emerging climate technologies that align with our company's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough research and analysis of climate technology trends, focusing on startups and innovation ecosystems that are relevant to our current and future needs.

2. Develop and maintain a network of relationships with leading academics, technology transfer offices, startups, public funding agencies, incubators/accelerators, and venture capital firms to stay updated on the latest technology trends.

3. Identify and screen startups that have a high potential for success and align with our company's strategic objectives.

4. Provide regular reports and presentations on scouting findings to technical leaders and the CVC business unit, using state-of-the-art tools to help identify investment opportunities.

Internal Communication and Technical Due Diligence:

1. Work closely with the CVC business unit to provide technical insights and support investment decisions.

2. Participate in the due diligence process for potential investments, focusing on technical assessment in your area of expertise.

3. Develop and maintain relationships with technical experts in our company to assess new technologies and align scouting efforts with our company's strategic objectives.

4. Provide detailed reports and presentations on scouting findings to technical leaders and the CVC business unit.

Strategic Insight:

1. Support the development of our company's technology and innovation strategy roadmap.

2. Identify and recommend strategic initiatives and partnerships to drive innovation and growth.

Qualifications:

1. Master's degree in STEM or another field related to climate technology, with a PhD preferred.

2. Five years of experience in research, development, and innovation, with experience in publishing scientific manuscripts, technology transfer, and intellectual property.

3. Proven experience in technology scouting, innovation management, or a related role.

4. Ability to quickly understand emerging technologies and awareness of global market trends.

5. Excellent analytical, research, and critical thinking skills, with a curious and open mindset.

6. Business acumen, with a strong ability to create value for internal and external stakeholders.

7. Excellent written and oral presentation skills, with a strong ability to convey complex technical information to a non-technical audience.

Strong knowledge of English is required; Mandarin and other languages are a strong plus.
