Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our team in Tübingen, Germany. As a Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data systems, including databases, warehouses, and lakes, to support CureVac's initiatives and roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and deliver strategic plans to improve data integration, data quality, and data delivery.
- Collaborate with teams to design data systems, including databases, warehouses, and lakes.
- Select and implement database management systems that meet the organization's needs.
- Translate business requirements into data models and metadata.
- Manage senior stakeholders to ensure project delivery aligns with strategic roadmaps.
- Simplify existing data architecture, delivering reusable services and cost-saving opportunities.
- Lead and participate in peer review and quality assurance of projects' architectural artifacts.
- Define and manage standards, guidelines, and processes to ensure data quality.
Requirements
- University degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in design and implementation of data models for enterprise data warehouse initiatives.
- Proven track record in leading projects involving data warehousing, data modeling, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in modern data architectures and concepts, such as cloud services, real-time data distribution, and modern data warehouse tools.
- Ability to think strategically and relate architectural decisions to business needs.
- Willingness to learn and adopt new technology, especially in the ML/AI realm.
- Capability to synthesize and communicate complex information to senior management.
- Capacity to collaborate and excel in complex teams.
- Fluency in English, German skills are a plus.
