Position Overview:
We are seeking a Data Architect (f/m/d) to enhance our data management capabilities and support our strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance data integration, quality, and delivery aligned with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and structure data systems, including databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
- Select and implement appropriate database management systems, defining data schemas and optimizing storage solutions while ensuring data security.
- Translate business requirements into effective data models and establish data quality standards.
- Engage with senior business stakeholders to ensure project alignment with long-term strategic goals.
- Simplify existing data architectures to promote reusable services and cost efficiencies in accordance with company policies.
- Lead peer reviews and quality assurance processes for architectural artifacts within the Enterprise Architecture framework.
- Establish and manage standards and guidelines to maintain high data quality.
- Guide solution design and architecture to fulfill business requirements.
Qualifications:
- A degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing data models for enterprise data warehouse projects.
- Demonstrated success in leading data warehousing, modeling, and analysis initiatives.
- Expertise in modern data architectures, including cloud services (Azure, GCP) and real-time data distribution.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align architectural decisions with business needs.
- Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, particularly in the ML/AI domain.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in complex, cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in German is advantageous.
