Business Intelligence and Reporting Analyst

About the Role

The Université du Luxembourg is seeking a skilled Business Intelligence and Reporting Specialist to join its Data and Reporting Services Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Business Intelligence (BI) solutions to support the university's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop BI solutions using tools such as Power BI and Databricks
  • Manage the full lifecycle of BI projects, including requirement gathering, development, rollout, and user training
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Develop and maintain data models and ETL processes in Azure Data Factory and Databricks
  • Create and manage appealing reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights to support decision-making
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by conducting regular data validation and quality checks
  • Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and best practices
  • Work in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions in a timely manner
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest BI trends and technologies to continuously improve our BI capabilities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field
  • Proven experience in BI and reporting, with a strong proficiency in Power BI Databricks and other BI tools
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory and SAP
  • Strong knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes, and database management
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and project management tools
  • Fluency in English and French; German is an asset
