Job Title: Optical & Ethernet Network Engineer

Colt Technology Services is seeking a highly skilled Optical & Ethernet Network Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our network operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our pan-European MPLS infrastructure and Optical & Ethernet services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve faults across our network infrastructure and services.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our Optical & Ethernet services and technologies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to our customers, ensuring their issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve complex technical issues and implement solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the field of Optical & Ethernet networking.
Requirements:
  • Excellent understanding of Optical & Ethernet services and technologies, including MSP, Ethernet, and DWDM systems.
  • Experience with network management via GUI and CLI.
  • Knowledge of network protocols and technologies, including IP, MPLS, and VPN.
  • Fluent in German and English, with excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
