Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Chicago Youth Centers. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, as well as providing transportation services for our youth.

Responsibilities:

* Clean and maintain facilities, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting floors
* Empty waste baskets and replace liners
* Clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, sinks, and mirrors
* Check and replace hand soap, paper towels, and tissue dispensers
* Replace light bulbs and perform minor repairs
* Clean baseboards, air vents, and light fixtures
* Strip, clean, and apply floor sealer and finish to hard surface floors
* Vacuum and shampoo carpets
* Pressure wash walls and floors
* Shovel and remove snow and ice from designated areas

Driving Responsibilities:

* Pick up youth from community schools and deliver to Center
* Work with Program Manager to create transportation schedule
* Establish relationships with school personnel
* Manage cleanliness of vans weekly
* Monitor vans for routine and emergency maintenance and repairs

Requirements:

* High School Diploma or GED
* 1-2 years of related experience in cleaning and maintenance
* Valid Illinois driver's license
* Ability to climb ladders
* Ability to travel between CYC sites
* Skill in using cleaning products and equipment
* Basic computer skills
* Bilingual language ability is a plus
* Knowledge of health, fire, and safety codes
