TenneT is rapidly expanding to achieve its strategic goals and is at the forefront of the energy transition. We are currently seeking a dedicated Sub Project Lead - Cable Installation Nearshore (m/w/d) who will play a vital role in our initiatives.
Your Role at TenneT
As part of an offshore grid connection initiative, you will oversee the installation of cables in tidal zones up to the 10m waterline. Collaborating with your team, you will manage the project comprehensively, including permits, detailed planning, and the transition to operations.
- You will be responsible for delivering the specified technical scope while adhering to all relevant TenneT and contractual obligations, as well as additional requirements such as permits, safety, legal, and technical standards.
- Your role includes reviewing pertinent procedures and work plans, monitoring EPC contractors to ensure they meet their contractual commitments, particularly in delivering high-quality outputs on schedule and within budget.
- You will guide the efforts and collaboration of TenneT subcontractors, including Client Representatives, environmental specialists, and other experts.
- On-site supervision will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring that all documentation complies with TenneT standards.
- You will provide reports to the project regarding the EPC contractors' performance, focusing on progress and changes.
Your Qualifications
- A university degree (FH/H) in civil or mechanical engineering or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience in offshore cable installation, particularly in tidal regions, along with a background in contractor management.
- Proficient written and spoken communication skills in both German and English, as interaction with German authorities and international partners is essential.
- A high degree of independence and initiative, complemented by strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to travel and work on construction sites in coastal areas during project activities, along with a valid driver's license (class B).
